Confusion over Rajini’s role in ‘Kuselan’

There have been lots of speculations about the girls who would act in 'Kuselan'. Now the latest speculation on 'Kuselan' is about its hero. Rajinikanth, it is said, is not keen in having a full-fledged role in the movie. He is believed to have requested the director P. Vasu to stick to the original, in which Mammootty played a relatively small role.

Earlier, it was told that Vasu was working on the script to enhance Rajini's role. But Rajini, who has planned to start his next project 'Robot' soon, is not willing to do a full fledged role, the grapevine says. Going by the indications, 'Kuselan' would probably fall in the line of 'Anbulla Rajinikanth'.

According to the sources, Vasu is not comfortable with it. If Rajini's role is not enhanced, the film would not make big business. So it is quite natural that both the director and producers would like to have a bigger role for Rajini.
Following this hiccup, the shooting, which was supposed to commence by February 15, has been postponed to March 1.

It is worth recalling that 'Chandramukhi' was a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster 'Manichitrathaazhu' where the story was modeled to satiate the fans of superstar Rajinikanth. Vasu shaped up the script to make Rajini's role bigger. The rest, as they say, is history.

Let us wait and watch if 'Kuselan' too creates such a history.
