Dharmendra defers to Rajnikanth

There was a mini controversy building over the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that's held in GOA annually. The selection of chief guest at the function had become an issue of possible controversy over the rumored choice of Dharmendra vs the more popular selection of Rajnikanth advanced by the southern film industry.

The southern film stars and industry personnel have always complained that indian film awards and festivals such as IFFI or more commercialized IIFA are too Bollywood centric. It had been advanced that Rajnikanth should have done the opening honors this year over Dharmendra on account of the former's continuing impact on cinema going public.

Dharmendra for his part was graceful enough to withdraw consideration after hearing of the same.

1) At Sivaji Ganesan's chevalier award function after the then CM
J's Speech, Rajini was the last to address vote of thanks., He after
praising jayalalitha for celebrating that function promptly showed
his displeasure by openly reminding Jayalalitha about her fault of
putting her name to Film City instead of Veterans MGR or Sivaji's
Name. He went to an extent of requesting the crowd to give a minute
of full silence to respect the Nadigar Thilagam and upon his request
the entire Crowd made Pin Drop Silence which shocked many including
Jayalalitha which was elaborately written in Junior vikatan.

that incident., The writer was tremendous in his expression i
remember.

2) At Baasha Function he openly talked about Mani Rathnam House
explosive in front of then minister RMV.

3) He straightaway called Ramdoss as "Ratchasan" when heard about
fans' injury by his people.

4) He recalled an incident infront of Jayalalitha that he and his
friends sighted (Site adichomnu naasookka sonnar)while coming to
their institure., When he elaborating this J's face became reddish
and she was smiling which was clearly shown on Jaya TV.

5)Now he openly adviced Karuna to look into the Ram Sethu matter
amicably in full media glare. In turn Karuna was not able to fight,
but simply request Rajini to help him..
