Kuselan tidings : Three songs completed

Bhangra king to croon for Boss

Well known Punjabi bhangra pop singer Daler Mehndi will be lending his voice for superstar Rajinikanth in Kuselan. The movie is a remake of the popular Malayalam film Kadha parayumbol. This is the first time Daler, the king of Indian bhangra pop, will sing for a south Indian film. Young music composer G.V.Prakash managed to rope in the Punjabi singer for a duet, which will be filmed on Rajinikanth and Nayanthara at the film city in Hyderabad. Apparently, the producers of the movie have paid Daler a whopping amount. Kavitha Krishnamoorthy will sing with him.

Kuselan will be a milestone in the career of GV Prakash

Talking to this newspaper Prakash said, “I have known Daler for quite sometime now. For this particular tune, which is set in rap and folk style, I wanted to try out a new voice for Rajini sir and that’s how I thought of Daler. Despite his busy schedule, he has agreed to sing for us and it will be recorded in Delhi on Monday.” Three songs by Prakash have already been shot. The director, P. Vasu is very happy about the outcome and has complimented the composer saying that this will be a milestone film in his career.
